When searching for a builder for our cabin in the mountain town of McCall, ID, Mark Barber was recommended to us by a neighbor who used him to remodel their cabin. Mark met with us several times as the plans were being developed to review our design and understand our expectations. During the building process, he was a good communicator and understood what our timelines were. He paid attention to detail, did what he promised at a fair cost, and had good ideas that went beyond what that plans called for. I would definitely use or recommend Mark again.

Mark designed and installed clerestory windows in my living room in early 2020. I told Mark about an idea I had for windows to bring light into my dark living room, and then he came up with several design options and worked to make it happen. He was professional and courteous every step of the way, from explaining complications that might occur during construction, to keeping me informed of the schedule, to installation and final clean up. His subcontractors and employees were well supervised and professional. The final product is just what I hoped for; the finish work is excellent and matches the rest of the room, the windows look like they have always been there, and the windows lighten up the whole room. I highly recommend Mark Barber Construction for quality, professional work.

We employed Mark Barber to demolish our old cabin on Payette Lake, in McCall, Idaho and build us a new one 13 years ago. The building process was so enjoyable and we absolutely love the results! Mark was easy to work with, kept us informed all through the building process, gave us enough lead time to make decisions, stayed on budget (!), and managed his sub contractors so they did not interfere with each other. Our cabin is very well built and we have had absolutely no issues. Mark was very meticulous with billing and I knew exactly what I was paying for with each check. Mind you, we lived two hours away and we still felt well in tuned to the whole process. Our grand daughter, who was three while we were building, had an apt comment when we were talking about needing something done that was not even related to building. Not being able to pronounce her R's she said. " Mauk can do it!" My only regret is Mark no longer lives and builds in Idaho and he "can't do" a storage room under the deck for us! He is top notch and Arizonia is lucky to have him!!
