James Fawbush1 Starwas hoping to use a Voice of the Customer (VoC) to send directly to Parker and Sons instead of Google.
Overall, I am pleased with the work that was done at my home, but I did encounter some incidents that were frustrating.
Parker and Sons found themselves at fault for an a/c leak that damaged some areas of my home. P&S were very proactive in getting the ball rolling to repair the damages there
My biggest issue is one of the sub-contractors they use to do the work, Brenner Construction. Their crews that do the actual work were all personable and overall did a great job, minus one incident that I will share below.
My carpet had to be replaced as part of the damage along with drywall, painting etc. The last step in the process was installing the new carpet. Brenner's crews showed up to install new carpet in the movie room which has very small windows with black out shades to keep the room dark. When the installers finished they asked me to come look and I did and everything looked great, but I did not notice there was an issue until later.
A few days later as I was reinstalling the surround sound system and moving my stadium seating couches back into position I noticed some blue paint that matches the walls on the newly installed carpet. The work crews did have to use paint during the repairs, but it was not used the day that the carpet was installed and I did not have any here nor would have needed it.
I was contacted by Sergio after speaking with Manny, a supervisor with P&S. After speaking with Sergio, the Superintendent with Brenner, he assured me that his crew didn't have paint (which I already knew) and that there is no way they did it. I assured him that my wife and myself didn't do it.
Sergio asked me to send photos of the blue paint spots, both wide and close up shots, which I did. He stated that his crew took pictures of the work when it was done, and that there were no paint spots in the photo from his crew.
I asked Sergio to send me those photos and he did.
After that, I knew exactly what happened. The door that leads to my air handler which his carpet crew reinstalled is painted the same blue on the outside of the door (that cannot be seen), but it painted white on the inside (which can be seen in the photo).
In the photos you can see the air handler door leaned up against the carpet with the blue side making contact with the new carpet. I would venture to believe that there was paint transfer from the outside blue door to the carpet since the door is in the exact spot where the door was leaning.
I asked Sergio (Brenner) if I could speak to his supervisor and he told me that he is as high as it goes with Brenner, which I know is not the truth as I have worked in construction for a long time. Maybe taking pictures is the new standard, but former superintendents I have worked with or for have always checked crews work in person.
Additionally, I had to call Sergio multiple times to get updates on work and timelines, sometimes I would hear back, but mostly not. Unrelated, I also requested an estimate for an adobe stucco repair to the outside of my home. He told me at least two times he would have it to me by the end of the day, that never happened, but I wanted to share as testimony to Brenner's lack of communication and follow through. Although the stucco estimate has nothing to do with P&S, it bears repeating that I shouldn't have been surprised giving Sergio's track record regarding the repairs that P&S were covering.
I did call Manny from P&S back last Friday to give him feedback after my discussion with Sergio and that Brenner was finding themselves not at fault. I left a message with the P&S team. As of today, I still have not received a call back from Manny. My intent was to share my concerns with him about using a company ( Brenner front office and leadership) on behalf of P&S that could hurt their business and reputation.
Regarding project management and who is responsible from start to finish, is up for debate. Brenner will say it’s P&S, a supervisor with P&S Brenner. Please contact me.Tuesday 25th November 2025
Christine Bracamonte Wiggs1 StarI had an utterly negative experience with Brenner construction. The repair I hired them to do should have been very straightforward, rebuild and replace a cabinet under my kitchen sink after a leak. The cabinet was built improperly initially, the team that installed the cabinet left my house and the sink immediately started leaking again. They improperly reinstalled my dishwasher so that insulation was poking out on the side. And they cracked my granite countertop and didn't even tell me. I had a crew come out twice to try to repair the crack, but each time the repair was done improperly. I had seen the poor reviews previously for this company and chose not to use them for a prior job. For this job, I went ahead and used them thinking it was a fairly straightforward job, which was a mistake. I would not recommend this company at all.Friday 18th July 2025
Be Forrest1 StarI would not use Brenner construction for any work. Had to have them come back to do rework 3 times, while other contractors waited for the rework to be done. Warning; Brenner construction will not work with you nor negotiate on the inconvenience they created. Very disappointed and not happy at all; I will be talking to my insurance company and reach out to them for reimbursement for some of the cost. Save yourself the trouble and tell your insurance company to use someone else; Brenner chases insurance jobs just like attorneys chase ambulances. FYI also they are not a BBB company; in other words the Better Business Borough does not recognize Brenner as a legit or reputable business.Monday 23rd June 2025
Kris Collins5 StarI had a water leak, Brenner sent an amazing employee out to fix a big hole in the living room area. You can’t even tell! I would recommend this company!Wednesday 10th September 2025
Lindsey Nieporte5 StarI cannot say enough good things about this company. Jill, Jim, Sergio, Quinton and several others I don't recall their names were so kind. Especially Jim and Jill. Jill works in the office and is nothing short of an angel. I really feel like I gained a friend. I was dealing with a really bad situation because of Parker and Son's negligence.
Brenner was contracted to repair the damage caused by Parker and Sons. I almost did not use Brenner because of the reviews I found here on Google. I was appalled, however, once I spoke with Jill I understood they were most likely false.
Once I meant Jim, I was pretty sure it was all B.S. Everyone from Brenner went WAY OUT of their way to ensure I was satisfied (considering the poor experience I had with Parker). They communicated well, they remained patient when I was not and really made the entire situation much better.
If nothing else at least give them a call and talk to them. You will understand that bad things happen to good people/companies. Thank Brenner Construction, I WILL be calling you back for other jobs I may have and will be recommending you to anyone and everyone that asks for one. Thank you, you truly will never know how much I appreciate your kindness.Wednesday 30th October 2024
